Throughout the world, the health care landscape has changed dramatically over the past several years, so having a broad view of the industry is critical. For the past 10 years, we have partnered with INSEAD, one of Europe’s leading business schools, on the Healthcare Management Initiative (HMI), providing programs for leaders that support research, teaching and education in health care.
Initiating Good Management Practices
We support several HMI efforts, including the European Health Leadership Program, the healthcare2020.forum and the healthcare2020.platform.
The European Health Leadership Program provides senior health care industry managers with leadership training to help advance their roles in a rapidly changing and challenging industry. The program focuses on strategic and operations management, leadership and organizational design, global health care perspectives, knowledge management and information technology trends.
The healthcare2020.forum brings together more than 300 leaders to learn more about strategic management in health care. More than 80 pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and health service experts attended the 2007 healthcare2020.platform, where they explored marketing best practices, changes in health care economics, access and reimbursement issues, and political, social, technological and patient/consumer environments.
Advancing Health Care
We have established a research fund that enabled the HMI research center to conduct studies on chronic disease and hospital operations management, and technology innovation in health care delivery. All of HMI’s programs are working to advance the field of health care.
