Each day around the world, women and children struggle to survive in places with limited access to health care, education or social support. Often, they face a life of abuse, mistreatment, chronic illness and premature death. Many suffer in silence, not knowing what to do or where to turn. Fortunately, community groups large and small are trying to change this, and we are too.
