Human Performance Institute, Inc. Announces Agreement With Claremont Hotel Club & Spa to Bring its Corporate Athlete® Course to Clients in Bay Area

Science-based Training Methodology Teaches Principles of Human Energy Expansion for Greater Business Performance and Personal Health in Today’s High-Stress Environments

Orlando, FL  (March 17, 2010) – Human Performance Institute, Inc.® (HPI) announced today it has partnered  with Berkeley, California-based Claremont Hotel Club & Spa to host HPI’s Corporate Athlete® Course, an executive leadership training. HPI has offered training at its Orlando, Florida campus since the mid 1990s and will offer training at the Claremont beginning March 22 to better serve its nationwide clientele, which has included senior leaders from dozens of Fortune 500 companies.

HPI applies 30-plus years of proprietary research on elite professionals in high-stress arenas including Olympic gold medalists, #1 ranked tennis players, Special Forces, heart surgeons and FBI Hostage Rescue teams. HPI has translated the learning from these demanding environments to the boardroom and throughout organizations to improve the performance, leadership, engagement and health of its participants.

“As companies continue to weather uncertain economic times, employees will continue to have more work and fewer resources, quickly emptying their energy reserves and disengaging them from their professional and personal lives,” said Chris Osorio, President, Human Performance Institute.  “Our new relationship with Claremont Hotel Club & Spa will give more professionals traveling or working in nearby business districts the opportunity to train and permanently change their behavior to expand their energy – enabling them to achieve sustained performance and resilience both professionally and personally.”

HPI’s premier offering, the Corporate Athlete® Course, is a two-and a-half-day intensive training program that uniquely integrates principles of performance psychology, exercise physiology and nutrition.  Focused on expanding individual energy capacity, the Corporate Athlete® Course enables individuals to become more productive and effective under pressure and to achieve peak performance, which helps companies gain a competitive edge. Company leadership across all industries – from financial services and technology to law enforcement and education – have benefited from HPI’s courses.

“As a San Francisco Bay Area landmark since 1915, Claremont Hotel welcomes thousands of business leaders through its doors each year,” said Bruce Carlton, General Manager, Claremont Hotel Club & Spa. “We are excited to partner with HPI as it brings its long-established training to the west coast.  Our AAA Four-Diamond amenities and executive facilities will be a true complement and ideal setting for HPI program attendees.”  The first Corporate Athlete® Course at Claremont Hotel Club & Spa will be held March 22 to 24, 2010 with additional courses beginning in April.
