Nature Conservancy in NJ

The mission of the Nature Conservancy is to protect the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters all life needs to survive. Johnson & Johnson has partnered with the NJ chapter of the Conservancy since 1977 on both local and global programs. The program currently supports the Water Producer Program in Brazil that has expanded land protection and restoration in key a watershed that provides drinking water for millions of residents of São Paulo. The partnership has enabled significant advances in involving landowners in managing lands important to water production, engaging the community and exploring measures by which to gauge success. Current efforts in New Jersey are focused on conservation of lands within the Delaware River Basin that produce the water used by millions for drinking, farming, industry and recreation.
