We aspire to be the most environmentally responsible company in the world. Our Healthy Planet 2010 goals serve as a roadmap to help us get there.
Every five years, the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies sets new long-term goals that help us reduce our environmental footprint. In 2006, we introduced our newest goals: Healthy Planet 2010. Like our previous goals, these are ambitious. In developing them, we sought counsel from many stakeholders, including government officials, environmental groups, other companies and academic thought leaders. We are confident that our Healthy Planet 2010 goals will help safeguard the health of our planet.

Our Environmental Performance
2007 Sustainability Report
A Measurable Difference
We first began setting environmental goals in 1990. Since then, we have reduced waste, water and energy use, raw material and packaging. Nearly all of our manufacturing sites and research and development facilities have ISO 14001 certification, a standard for strong environmental management systems.
All our environmental accomplishments reinforce our commitment to Our Credo, which states that we must “maintain in good order the property we are privileged to use, protecting the environment and natural resources.”
In addition, our environmental improvement projects consistently result in more efficient manufacturing processes, increased product yields and cost savings.
