For the fourth consecutive time, Johnson & Johnson has ranked among the top three companies worldwide working to expand access to medicines according to the 2018 Access to Medicines Index. The Index, which was compiled by independent experts at the Access to Medicines Foundation, evaluates 20 of the world’s largest research-based pharmaceutical companies on their performance in making medicines, vaccines and diagnostics more accessible to people in need in low- and middle-income countries.

Paul Stoffels, M.D., Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Scientific Officer of Johnson & Johnson commented, “Johnson & Johnson strives to ensure good health is within reach of everyone, everywhere. For nearly a decade, the Access to Medicines Foundation has evaluated our progress to deliver on that promise and has consistently placed J&J as one of the top 3 companies in the world who work relentlessly to ensure access to its medicines and technologies.

We are proud of this achievement, but far from complacent. Changing the trajectory of health for humanity will require more advances, more breakthroughs and – ultimately – game-changing innovation. We remain committed to working in partnership on this long-term, global effort.”
