Moving from Molecules to Medicines

When I started as a reporter for Bloomberg many years ago, I had a lot to learn. As an English Literature major (Ok, Ok, I realize that may be hard to believe, reading my posts...) I had no idea of all that went into developing medicines -- from identifying potential new drug targets to studies in humans.

To learn more, I turned to PhRMA and my contacts in the industry to fill me in on what drug discovery and development involves -- which is advice I still dispense to those who want to learn more about this process today.

Recently, however, my colleagues in the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceuticals group put together a video that provides a comprehensive overview of the complexities of new drug development. Definitely worth checking out.
