Staying healthy and balanced is always important, and it’s especially crucial for expecting and new moms. Their bodies are changing, their lives are changing—and dealing with it all takes energy.
While trying to make everything perfect for baby, many moms put self-care on the backburner. That’s why I’m excited to announce the launch of our new Johnson & Johnson 7 Minute Wellness for Expecting and New Moms™ app. As a mom myself, I’m thrilled to connect my work and passion for energy management with supporting expecting and new moms.
An extension of the fast, simple, science-based Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout®, this new pregnancy wellness app was designed to help expecting and new moms care for both body and mind. From Mind and Body sessions to 7 Minute Workouts, the app is personalized based on your week of pregnancy or postnatal phase.
Mind and Body sessions: I guide these sessions, showing moms how to help create balance, relax the mind, relieve stress and discomfort, and care for the body.
As a performance coach with the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute, I can help expecting and new moms work through the physical and emotional changes they’re experiencing. During the sessions, we’ll help moms connect to their purpose and motivation so they can feel their very best.
7 Minute Workouts: Chris Jordan, Director of Exercise Physiology at the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute, designed these workouts. They can be customized and modified to a week of pregnancy or postnatal phase, as well as fitness and energy levels.* Chris makes it easy to exercise safely and effectively, with no special equipment necessary.
It’s pregnancy fitness for mind, body, and baby!
7 Minute Wellness for Expecting and New Moms™ is a great resource for pregnant and postnatal wellness, whether a mom is weeks out from her due date or had a baby in the last six months. It’s fun, easy to use, and available now for Apple and Android devices. (Click here to download the app.) If you’re an expecting or new mom, I’d love for you to try it out!
*Before starting or changing an exercise routine, talk with your health care provider about how much and what kind of physical activity is safe for you.
