      TYLENOL® Future Care Scholarship

Parenting never stops. Even as a mother of a 6 year old, I know that the sleepless nights and endless worry will continue well beyond college.

Is he eating the right foods? Is he hanging out with the right people? Is he studying hard enough in college? Will he get a job that he loves?

And then there are my worries, like how I’m going to pay for college.

When it was my time to go, my parents weren’t in an ideal financial situation so I ended up at a private university. While it was much more expensive on paper, their financial aid and scholarship were more than any state school could provide.

I majored in Biology along with many other students who were all destined for medical school. I had never felt a calling into healthcare but I felt a sense of pride knowing that I had completed all of the requirements if I wanted to.

Many of my college friends went on to become doctors and many more enrolled in the groundbreaking BSN program that enabled them to start clinical placements in their freshman year.

But the opportunities are only as good as those that can afford them.

It’s why we’re excited to share the TYLENOL® Future Care Scholarship, a program that will support 40 students pursuing degrees in healthcare.

To be eligible, students must complete at least one year of undergraduate or graduate study by the Spring of 2013 at an accredited two or four year college, university or vocational/technical school.

The application period is now open and submissions must be received by June 15, 2013. Scholarship award decisions will be made in July and awards distributed in August.
