Where volunteer spirit meets athletic determination: Together for a healthy future. For everyone.

The Special Olympics National Summer Games 2026 in Zug have come to an end, leaving behind days filled with emotion, inspiration, and remarkable athletic achievement. Behind the scenes, around 160 Johnson & Johnson employees in Switzerland volunteered their time and passion to support the organization and delivery of the National Summer Games.

Volunteerism is deeply rooted in Johnson & Johnson’s culture. With up to four paid days each year dedicated to volunteer work, employees are encouraged and empowered to contribute to the communities around them. At the Special Olympics National Summer Games, this spirit was visible everywhere: In accompanying athletes throughout the games, engaging with athletes and visitors at the J&J booth, supporting medal ceremonies, and creating moments of connection that athletes and families will remember for years to come. But the Special Olympics National Games are only one initiative that J&J in Switzerland supports.

For nearly ten years, Johnson & Johnson in Switzerland has stood alongside Special Olympics Switzerland as a dedicated partner.

What began as support for inclusive sports has evolved into a shared mission to improve access to health for people with intellectual disabilities.

This mission comes to life in the new Special Olympics “Health” Program, which aims to remove barriers that individuals with intellectual disabilities often face. The program focuses on preventive health screenings, training for healthcare professionals, awareness building, and promoting respectful care for everyone.

Johnson & Johnson in Switzerland is proud to support this important work, today and in the future.
