Social Media Community Guidelines

At Johnson & Johnson, we’re dedicated to creating safe, informative and engaging spaces across our social media channels, which is why we established these Community Guidelines.

When you interact with our social media channels, you agree to abide by these Community Guidelines, which apply in addition to the Terms and Conditions or other legal notices that are provided by us and/or the owner of the social media platform.

When engaging across our channels, we ask that you:

1. Stay respectful and on topic

  • We welcome your comments and viewpoints so long as they are shared in a way that is respectful to us and our community.
  • Do not post comments that are off-topic, vulgar, harassing, defamatory or threatening toward any individual or group.
  • Do not post spam or repeatedly post the same comments, either manually or with the use of bots.

2. Avoid solicitation

  • Don’t solicit product feedback, promote businesses or request donations through our social channels. These requests should be submitted through the Contact us page on our website.

3. Follow legal and ethical standards

  • All comments on our channels must be respectful and accurate.
  • Do not provide medical advice or discuss unsubstantiated claims, “off-label” or non-directed uses of our products.
  • Do not make disparaging comments or inferences about our competitors or their products.
  • Do not discuss past or pending litigation matters.
  • Follow all local laws specific to your country and region.

4. Do not share restricted or confidential content

  • Do not share personal, identifiable or non-public information.
  • Do not share intellectual property without authorization, including copyrighted materials, trademarks, patents or trade secrets.

To maintain the integrity of our community, we reserve the right to remove content and block or ban users who do not adhere to these guidelines.

We actively monitor our channels
We do our best to review and respond to your comments and feedback. Due to the nature of our industry and the volume of comments we receive, we may not be able to reply to every comment and reserve the right not to respond. We reserve the right to moderate content as needed.

Privacy and protection of minors and vulnerable communities
You must be at least 18 years of age to post on our channels.

Additionally, please do not share personal information about children or other individuals, even if you are their parent, guardian or caregiver. Protecting privacy is especially important for minors and vulnerable people.

Engagements are not endorsements
Please remember that this space includes the thoughts and opinions of other users. Following or engaging with an account does not mean we endorse them.

Product feedback and reporting adverse events
Product quality complaints or adverse event reports should be submitted through the Contact us page on our website, not via our public social channels. Using the official submission form protects your privacy while ensuring we can easily follow up with you for more information.

If you share information about a side effect, product complaint, or device issue on our social channels, we may be required to follow up with you to comply with our safety reporting obligations.

Crisis or emergency situations
Our channels are not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical crisis, please contact your healthcare provider or local emergency services immediately.

Use of your content
By posting on our social media channels, you agree that your posts, along with any ideas or techniques shared, may be used by us in any way and across any media. Please do not submit any ideas or materials you wish to keep confidential or for which you expect compensation.

Additionally, when you post on our social media channels, your name, likeness and social media handle will be visible and associated with your post. If we re-use your post elsewhere, we may also display your name, likeness and handle.
