FT. WASHINGTON, PA (May 11, 2015) – McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., the makers of MOTRIN®, is joining forces with actress and mom Jennie Garth to launch the MOTRIN®Make It Happen Weekends program. The campaign is designed to inspire and motivate women this spring as they “Make It Happen” in all areas of their lives, including home, fitness, fashion and family. Garth will be sharing her personal tips, tricks and advice on the MOTRIN® Facebook page at Facebook.com/Motrin to help women stay unstoppable throughout their busy weekends, whether they’re painting the living room, chauffeuring the kids or hitting the gym, so that Mondays become a day of triumph for all that they accomplish on the weekend.
“Just like so many women, I’m juggling kids and my career, plus I recently tackled my own home renovation, so the weekends are when I get to my to-do list,” said spokesperson, Jennie Garth. “I’ve always relied on MOTRIN® to relieve my aches and pains, and I was really drawn to the empowering message of the MOTRIN®Make It Happen Weekends program. Women “Make It Happen” every day, but particularly over the weekends when we really need to multi-task to get it all done.”
Like Garth, one area where other women continuously “Make It Happen” is in their homes. With May being National Home Improvement Month, the makers of MOTRIN® recently conducted a survey that revealed more than 73 percent of women plan to tackle home DIY projects this spring. Additionally, 75 percent of women would find a home makeover more satisfying than a beauty makeover, and 80 percent agree that working on a DIY project with a significant other strengthens their relationship.
Garth will open up the conversation to all consumers by encouraging people to visit the MOTRIN® Facebook page on Mondays to post their own unique ways on how they “Make It Happen” on the weekends for the opportunity to win one of four one-on-one experiences with her in L.A.
To further encourage women to take care of themselves while they “Make It Happen” over the weekend, Garth will be sharing her DIY expertise through MOTRIN® sponsored content on Apartment Therapy, the go-to resource for all things home and DIY. Apartment Therapy is dedicated to helping people make their homes more beautiful, organized and healthy. In addition, MOTRIN® is partnering with celebrity trainer Ashley Borden to share stretches and warm up techniques to help women gear up for their project filled weekends this spring. With a roster of high profile clients, Borden is no stranger to providing tips and motivation to help busy, on-the-go women be their best unstoppable selves.
“MOTRIN® is a brand that is committed to keeping women unstoppable. The MOTRIN®Make It Happen Weekends program was borne out of the understanding of the many roles and responsibilities that women are tasked with on a daily basis,” said Jennifer Cullen, Director of Marketing at McNeil Consumer Health Care. “Our program seeks to offer consumers the tools and resources they need to be their best selves so that they can continue to “Make It Happen” each day in all areas of their lives.”
