The wildfires that began in and around Los Angeles on January 7 have devastated entire communities and forced massive evacuations. The two largest—the Palisades and Eaton fires—are believed to be among the most destructive in the city’s history.
J&J Foundation donated $250,000 to Americares to support the frontline health workers who care for vulnerable populations such as displaced families and those relying on community health centers.
As a contributor to the American Red Cross Disaster Response Program—which aims to have critical systems and supplies ready to quickly mobilize when disaster strikes—J&J Foundation helps to provide immediate aid like food, water and temporary shelter to those in need, as well as ongoing support as the community rebuilds.
Working with Heart to Heart International, J&J Foundation also supported the distribution of more than 2,500 hygiene kits to people affected by the wildfires.
