At Johnson & Johnson, our thoughts are with the people and communities impacted by the devastating earthquake in Colombia.
Through the Johnson & Johnson Foundation (JJF) and trusted nonprofit disaster-relief organizations, we are supporting response and recovery efforts focused on helping communities access the care, resources and support they need during this difficult time.
Our support includes:
- Americares: As an Americares Emergency Response Partner, the Johnson & Johnson Foundation provides ongoing support that allows the health-focused relief and development organization respond rapidly to emergencies and address the evolving physical and mental health needs of frontline health workers and survivors.
In response to the recent earthquake in Colombia, the Johnson & Johnson Foundation is providing an additional $100,000 to Americares to support relief efforts, including assessing urgent health needs, supporting health facilities and local partners with medicines, supplies, and operational assistance, and addressing priority health, mental health, safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and disease prevention needs as the response evolves.
- International Medical Corps (IMC): The Johnson & Johnson Foundation is supporting International Medical Corps’ efforts to deliver lifesaving healthcare to communities impacted by the earthquake in Colombia, as well as targeted training for frontline health workers.
- Employee support efforts: We have launched a global employee giving campaign with a 1:1 company match and our employees in the region are supporting local communities with cash and in-kind donation efforts.
