At Johnson & Johnson, our thoughts are with the people affected by the recent earthquakes in northern Venezuela, as well as the health workers, community groups involved in disaster relief efforts and all those volunteering in their communities.
In response, we are donating critical surgical supplies to the Venezuelan Red Cross as well as mobilizing employee drives and matching employee donations to qualified nonprofits to help the community recover.
We are also in close communication with nonprofit organizations who are on the ground providing essential support:
- Americares: The Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Foundation is an Americares Emergency Response Partner, providing ongoing support that allows the health-focused relief and development organization to quickly respond to emergencies and meet the physical and mental health needs of frontline health workers and communities.
- Heart to Heart: J&J Foundation is supporting the distribution of 10,000 hygiene kits via our partnership with Heart to Heart International. Each kit contains essential items—such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary pads and towels—designed to address immediate hygiene needs in emergency conditions.
- International Medical Corps: With support from the J&J Foundation, International Medical Corps rapidly delivers lifesaving health and health-related resources, services and training to disaster-affected communities and frontline health workers—oftentimes in remote and hard-to-reach locations.
