Supplier diversity & inclusion

Johnson & Johnson has long recognized that having a diversity of suppliers is important to our success. Our award-winning Global Supplier Diversity & Inclusion program, founded in 1998, aims to ensure that small businesses, social enterprises and businesses with diverse ownership, control or operations can become valued partners and grow with Johnson & Johnson.

All Johnson & Johnson supplier selections are made based on merit, so we help suppliers qualify for our Global Supplier Diversity & Inclusion program or help them grow to meet Johnson & Johnson’s needs through mentoring programs and by connecting suppliers to external resources. In addition, Johnson & Johnson supports and partners with more than 30 advocacy organizations to identify and support the development of small and diverse suppliers and social enterprises around the globe.

We have also developed programs to ensure small and diverse suppliers can be included in our supplier-selection processes, such as increasing their visibility in our purchasing platform and hosting buyer-supplier matchmaking events.

Strengthening our diverse supplier base helps provide better outcomes for our patients and stakeholders worldwide.
