About

Impact meets sustainability
Impact Ventures is an investment fund within the J&J Foundation, established in 2019 with the overall goal of generating both sustainable social impact and financial returns. All capital from successful exits goes back to J&J Foundation and is recycled into new investments to continue accelerating impact.

The fund invests directly in impact-focused healthcare companies through various debt and equity structures, as well as through other managed impact funds. Although we typically invest at an early stage before companies are profitable, our aim is to help them scale and become sustainable.

More than capital

In addition to our financial investments, we actively support our portfolio companies with technical assistance and resources by leveraging Johnson & Johnson’s extensive network and healthcare industry expertise. We offer a range of different pro bono services, including employee engagements through J&J’s Talent for Good program.

Strategic priorities

In pursuit of advancing global healthcare, we focus on three strategic areas that are critical to transforming access to quality and affordable care:

Accessibility:
Rural & remote care

Bridging physical and geographical gaps by connecting communities to care through telehealth and other tech-enabled solutions.

Quality:
Healthcare workforce

Equipping health workers with new resources, tools and technologies they need to provide improved care to patients.
