    The Red Couch: Season 4

This season journeys across six of Johnson & Johnson’s strategic focus areas: Cardiopulmonary/Cardiovascular, Immunology, Neuroscience, Vision, Oncology and Surgery.

Each episode explores a different dimension of healthcare innovation, not through product alone, but through the people driving it forward. You’ll meet scientists pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Healthcare professionals delivering extraordinary care. Partners expanding what’s possible through collaboration. Patients whose stories remind us why this work matters. And creators helping translate complex science into conversations that reach people where they are.

From cultural moments and unexpected collaborations to deeply personal patient journeys, Season Four demonstrates that innovation isn’t only about what’s discovered. It’s about what’s understood. Because when science connects with storytelling, innovation becomes something people can see, feel, and believe in.

Episode 1 | Neuroscience: When “fine” is not enough

Mental health has become one of the defining conversations of our time. Yet for millions of people, especially younger generations, one phrase continues to mask what they’re truly experiencing: “I’m fine.”

This season opens with Generation Fine, Johnson & Johnson’s above-brand campaign challenging the culture of silent struggle and encouraging more honest conversations around mental health. More than a campaign, Generation Fine demonstrates how storytelling, creator voices, and authentic lived experiences can help break through in ways traditional communications cannot. It’s a powerful reminder that innovation isn’t always measured in medicines or devices. Sometimes, it’s measured in conversations. Because when we create space for people to say, “I’m not fine,” we create the possibility for healing to begin.
