- Recovery-focused programs, including initiatives on quality of life, coping, housing, social isolation, employment, and wellness
- Early intervention programs
- Programs supporting access, continuity of care, and relapse prevention
- Inclusive programs addressing healthcare disparities and the stigma associated with mental illness
- Crisis intervention programs
- Education and programs addressing mental health and the criminal justice system
- Initiatives may be for patients, caregivers/families, peers, policy makers, community leaders, or the broader community
