    Retina

In Retina, our focus is on restoring and preserving vision in patients with blinding retinal diseases by discovering and developing transformational therapies that prevent, treat, or cure diseases with critical unmet needs. A particular area of our focus is gene therapy for Inherited Retinal Diseases (IRDs), which affect a significant number of people and often lack effective treatment options. To support these endeavors, we provide financial support and resources, recognizing the importance of building a strong network, raising awareness, and offering educational opportunities.

    Areas Of Interest

What are our US Educational Objectives for IRDs?

    • Educate on early and improved clinical identification of retinitis pigmentosa (RP) with a specific focus on X-linked retinitis pigmentosa (XLRP)
    • Raise awareness on benefits of genetic testing and approaches involved to genetically diagnose patients with IRDs to identify patients with XLRP
    • Educate on navigating barriers and approaches to gain access for genetic testing in IRDs
    • Educate on gene therapy as an approach to manage IRDs

What therapeutic areas are we considering for IRDs?

We provide support for unbiased and authentic educational initiatives related to IRDs, with a particular focus on XLRP. Our commitment extends to other therapeutic areas and disease states that align with the medical and research goals established by our Medical Affairs Department, as we strive to make a difference in the lives of those affected by IRDs.
